Boise Sends Roseburg Packing with 5-4 Loss
The Boise Hawks defeated the Roseburg Owls, 5-4, at Memorial Stadium. Leading the charge for Boise was catcher Kent Pitt. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. The Hawks saw their win-loss record go to 31-34. At the same time, the Owls fell to 17-48.

Langston Storey, who is tied for 7th in the NWL in RBI with 36, aided the Boise cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman went 2-5 with 2 singles.

"Good win for us," said Storey. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
