Robinson Tames Redmond
|
The Redmond Rattlers manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Gold Beach Sea Unicorns. The Rattlers were overpowered by Gold Beach starter Cullan Robinson, who hurled his club to victory, 6-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Ethan Quinn said.
Over 9 innings, Robinson blanked Redmond on 3 hits with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Robinson said.
"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
This season, Robinson has crafted a 2-1 mark with a 2.55 ERA in 74 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .277 against him and he has 57 strikeouts.
