Redmond got a big-time effort from pitcher Henry Scurlock, but it wasn't enough to keep the Gold Beach Sea Unicorns from winning the game, 6-4. Scurlock threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Gold Beach, at 22-41, occupies 8th place in the Northwest League South Division.

Gold Beach used the timely hitting of Easton Daley to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Sea Unicorns on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Daley attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
