Canucks Earn 1-0 Road Win Over New Westminster
|
Abbotsford beat New Westminster on the strength of starter Billie Couperin's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 1-0. The loss makes New Westminster 23-44.
Weldon Wallace, the 23-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Wallace contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Abbotsford up, 1-0.
"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Wallace, "but we really needed that win."
