|
Abbotsford pitcher Noah Bélanger did his part in helping his team defeat the Spokane Indians, 4-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Bélanger yielded 1 run over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-1. Scott Luna sewed up the save, his 2nd.
Hunter Francis dealt the Indians a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Abbotsford trailing 1-0, Francis hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single.
"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Francis. "The only team that can beat us is us."
Abbotsford is looking good at 42-20.
