Dust Devils Score Late to Upend Ironbirds, 6-5
|
Stéphan White had a good game, but he could not keep the Aberdeen Ironbirds from falling, 6-5, to the Tri-City Dust Devils at Ripken Stadium. The Aberdeen left fielder was 2-5 with 2 home runs in the loss. Lee Bricker closed the game out for Tri-City, earning his 4th save. Tri-City's winning streak has reached 4 games.
Tri-City took a 6-4 lead on Keith McLellan's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which McLellan hit in the top of the eighth, left Aberdeen pitcher Paul Bennett visibly frustrated.
"You can never predict what'll happen," McLellan said. "That's why you play the game."
