Spartans Beat Cavalry, 5-0, Behind Cannady
|
The Olympia Spartans tallied a win at Ballpark of Victoria, throttling the New Westminster Cavalry, 5-0. Starting pitcher T.J. Cannady was a big reason for his team's success. The Spartans now have a mark of 38-21.
Cannady, a native of Galt, California, was dealing all game. He kept New Westminster hitters off-balance, while giving the Spartans 7.1 quality innings. Cannady threw 87 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 9.
"I was the aggressor," said Cannady. "No doubt about it."
