Tri-City Loses Again, 4-2
|
The New Westminster Cavalry beat the Tri-City Dust Devils, 4-2, at Gesa Stadium. New Westminster first baseman Kell Annakiya had the hot bat. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. New Westminster is third in the Northwest League North Division with a record of 41-21.
New Westminster used a clutch at-bat from Bryan Reedy to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Cavalry ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"This game is going to humble you at times and you've got to man up and deal with it," said Tri-City manager Bob Kaiser.
