Rawhide Earn Win with Late Rally
The Visalia Rawhide faced a tough opponent in Pittsburg pitcher Samuel Diamond, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Rawhide Ballpark by a final score of 4-3. Diamond went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Visalia reliever Aryan Donovan got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Jayson Mills was tagged with the loss. Visalia, now 11-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.

The decisive blow was delivered by Martino Álvarez in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 21-year old left-handed pitcher Jayson Mills to win the game for Visalia. The home crowd went nuts.

Álvarez described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
