The Dunedin Blue Jays topped the Carolina Mudcats, 5-2, in East Coast League action at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Dunedin pitcher Ugueth Salgado. Salgado picked up the win for Dunedin, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 8-6. Dunedin now sports a record of 69-62.
The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from catcher Yhoan Abreu. For the game, Abreu was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Dunedin a 3-1 lead.
