The Carolina Mudcats powered past the Bradenton Marauders, 10-2, at LECOM Park. Brantley Dawson provided some of the pop. He was 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs. Conner Ferguson got credit for the win, improving to 4-8. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. With the win, Carolina goes to 60-67, while the Marauders fall to 72-55.

Lee Zampino had a big 2-run double for the Mudcats in the top of the fourth inning. With Carolina leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a slider from Ryder Kennedy, who is tied for 9th in the ECL with a 1.22 WHIP, and swatted a double to center. It was his 25th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mudcats ahead, 5-0.

Bradenton manager Andres Zamarida called the blowout loss "a real stinker."
