Abbotsford Wins at Home to Take 3-0 Lead in WCS
When he got to Abbotsford, Vicente Coelo was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the Wild Card Series.

The 20-year-old rookie left-hander shut out the visiting Olympia Spartans, 4-0, in a remarkable performance at Ballpark of Abbotsford. With the win, the Canucks took a 3-0 lead in the best-of-7 Wild Card Series.

The Spartans had trouble solving Coelo, who surrendered no runs on 5 hits over 7.2 innings.

"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Coelo.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Abbotsford in Abbotsford.
