Losing Trend Continues for St. Lucie
|
In the 6-3 Oxford win over St. Lucie, the impact of Robby Parker was substantial. Parker, who leads the ECL in home runs with 28, was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Calvin Wood earned his 17th save in 18 chances. The Owls go to 84-35, putting them first in the East Coast League Mideast Division.
Oxford grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Parker hit a grand slam home run off Willy Mayan. His 28th home run of the season put the Owls out in front, 6-2.
"We're on quite a roll right now," said Parker.
