Virginia Beach Mariners starter Jake Lafond turned in an exceptional performance against the Charlotte Stone Crabs at Virginia Beach Ballpark, resulting in a Virginia Beach win, 3-2. With the win, Virginia Beach pushed its record to 69-50.

Kevin Logan was the walk-off hero for Virginia Beach. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mariners catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The crowd was juiced," said Logan.
