Lamica Leads Hillcats to Win
Soggy conditions did not keep Lynchburg and Winston-Salem from playing their scheduled game.

The Lynchburg Hillcats topped the Winston-Salem Dash, 8-2, with youngster Billy Lamica playing a key role. Lamica went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Hillcats in the win. Lynchburg, at 73-43, is 5 games up in the East Coast League Mideast Division.

In the top of the sixth, the Hillcats grabbed the lead when Lamica hit his 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run off J.T. Giunta made it 4-2, Lynchburg.

"They just got us," said Winston-Salem manager Brandon Holmes, "and that's all I can say."
