Richter Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
Seth Richter did a number on the Mariners in the 13-6 Winston-Salem victory -- and the number was 5. The Dash first baseman banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at BB&T Ballpark to lead his club past the Virginia Beach Mariners.

"I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."

Seth Richter singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

This season, Richter has posted a batting average of .303 with 125 hits in 412 at-bats, 11 home runs and 57 RBIs. He has also scored 55 runs, walked 47 times and compiled a .383 OBP.
