Trester Leads Stone Crabs to 14-6 Win Over Fire Frogs
The home crowd had a good time watching the Florida Fire Frogs and Charlotte Stone Crabs get after it.

The Charlotte Stone Crabs beat the Florida Fire Frogs, 14-6, at Charlotte Sports Park. Charlotte first baseman Lonnie Trester banged out 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. Jayden Bernstein earned the win for Charlotte. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 10-6.

The Fire Frogs had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Stone Crabs going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old center fielder Paul Roulston came to the plate. Roulston hit a run-scoring double on a full count fastball from Florida hurler Jason Cress. It was Roulston's 20th double of the year.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Trester told the Charlotte Times.

With the win, the Stone Crabs have a record of 59-52.
