Owls Beaten, 2-1, by Tri-City
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Tri-City Dust Devils and the Roseburg Owls, 19-year old right-handed pitcher Robin Farthing was the difference-maker. The Tri-City right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Farthing yielded no runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-1. Tri-City now owns a record of 22-33.
Tri-City took a 2-0 lead on Miguel Benavidez's 8th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Benavidez hit in the top of the seventh, left Roseburg pitcher Kyle Arias visibly frustrated.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Benavidez told the Tri-City Chronicle.
