AquaSox Lambaste Indians, 12-2
|
The Everett AquaSox defeated the Spokane Indians, 12-2. Doing his part was right fielder Stewie Woods, who was 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times. Laz Richardson picked up the save for Everett, his 3rd of the year. Everett's record now stands at 43-20, placing them first in the Northwest League North Division.
Diego Ibarra, the 23-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ibarra contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Everett up, 3-1.
Spokane manager Rafael Mier called the blowout loss "just something that happens."
