At Recreation Park, the Lake Elsinore Storm and Martinez Clippers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Martinez Clippers topped the Lake Elsinore Storm, 12-5, with youngster Kent Paskel playing a key role. Paskel was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 4 times for the Clippers in the win. The winner in relief was Rainer Lange. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 5.1 innings.

Lobo Regan, who is tied for 2nd in the CAL in runs scored with 17, chipped in a 2-run home run for Martinez in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.
