Marauders Top Hammerheads, 4-2
|
Bradenton and Jupiter took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Bradenton Marauders got a marvelous performance from pitcher Heath Bates. The right-hander kept the Jupiter offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Bradenton victory at Roger Dean Stadium. The win boosted Bradenton to 58-44.
Fuégo Sablo, who is tied for 3rd in the ECL in stolen bases with 26, had a direct impact on the outcome. Sablo contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the 11th inning to put Bradenton up, 3-2.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Bates.
