St. Lucie picked up a win at Tradition Field, bumping off the Florida Fire Frogs, 5-4. Pitcher Linc Mullis was a major reason the Mets emerged victorious. Yacinto Vargas was credited with the save for St. Lucie, his 4th of the season. The Mets are now 48-53.

St. Lucie pinch hitter Kieran Reardon contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a sinker to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 50th hit of the season and put the Mets ahead, 4-2.

"I thought Linc threw the ball well across the board," said St. Lucie manager Wendell Pratt.
