Frederick Bats Cold in 6-0 Loss
|
Tom Neal was locked and loaded, helping the Carolina Mudcats beat the Frederick Keys, 6-0. Neal picked up the win for Carolina, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 5-10. Yes, it was a win for Carolina; but their 36-67 mark is nothing to crow about.
Carolina first baseman Otis Young contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 12th hit of the season and put the Mudcats ahead, 5-0.
"Awesome outing. Tom was on top of them all night long," said Carolina manager Trajano De Leon.
