Flying Tigers Walk It Off for 52nd Win of Season
The Lakeland Flying Tigers had to overcome a big game from St. Lucie shortstop Mukharbek Valiyev to leave Joker Marchant Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4, in 14 innings. Valiyev was 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Lakeland reliever Wyndam Bly was credited with the win. His record goes to 2-1. Nicholas Townsend took the loss for St. Lucie. The Flying Tigers bumped their record to 52-50 with this latest triumph.

The Flying Tigers got a clutch hit from second baseman Harrison Hernandez. In the bottom of the 14th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Flying Tigers.

In comments to the Lakeland Bulletin, Hernandez insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
