Mudcats Fall, 7-1, to Frazier, Renegades
|
The Hudson Valley Renegades downed the Carolina Mudcats, 7-1, at Five County Stadium. The Renegades were led by Alexander Frazier. Frazier went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win went to Virgil Rios in relief, making him now 8-2. Bob Robertson took the loss for Carolina. Alexander Van de Walker earned the save, his 19th.
It could have been a different outcome for Hudson Valley, had it not been for Matt Krupa, the 22-year old catcher . Krupa contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Hudson Valley up, 3-0.
"Winning is always a team effort," Frazier said after the game.
The Renegades are now 66-35, while the Mudcats fall to 45-56.
