Lynchburg Makes It 13 Straight with 3-2 Win
|
George M. Steinbrenner Field was the site of a tense game between the Hudson Valley Renegades and Lynchburg Hillcats.
The Hudson Valley Renegades got a superb performance from pitcher Johan Foster, but the Lynchburg Hillcats still won the game, 3-2. Foster threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Rocky Haller, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.
Lynchburg needed the clutch hitting of Dylan Lazo to notch the win. The center fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the 15th inning to put the Hillcats on top, 3-2. For the game, Lazo had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Antonio Molina.
Now 57-42, Lynchburg has won 13 consecutive games.
