Blue Jays Hold Off Keys, 3-2
|
Behind the hitting of Axel Rosales, the Dunedin Blue Jays stopped the Frederick Keys, 3-2. Rosales went 2 for 2 with a double and 3 walks for the Blue Jays. The winner in relief was Gabriel Weber. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-1. Dunedin, at 54-46, holds down 4th place in the East Coast League Florida Division.
Jason Brantner Jr., the 22-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Brantner Jr. contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Dunedin up, 3-2.
"Losing is tough," Frederick manager Omar Leon lamented. "We've got to get out of this rut."
