Wild Card Series Game 1 Goes to Olympia, Thanks to Brown
|
The Olympia Spartans powered past the visiting New Westminster Cavalry, 3-2, in the opener of the Wild Card Series at Ballpark of Victoria. Olympia starting pitcher Eric Brown threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball, to lead the charge. The Spartans now lead the series 1-0.
Brown gave Olympia a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 6.1 innings.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Brown.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Victoria in Olympia.
