Spikes Even With Spinners After Home Win
The State College Spikes and the Lowell Spinners will take the Wild Card Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Spikes beat the Spinners, 5-1, at Bowman Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. State College left-hander Curtis Hall had a big role in the win. He threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Bowman Field seemed to enjoy watching the New York-Penn League action.

"Curtis made some big pitches when he needed to," said Spikes manager Bobby Spencer.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bowman Field in Williamsport.
