The State College Spikes defeated the Staten Island Pizza Rats, 8-6, in Game 4 of the Wild Card Series. Making an impact was right fielder A.J. Deddens, who went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 3 times. The win narrows State College's deficit in the series to 3-1.

Gordon Strube contributed to the State College win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
