Albaugh in Fine Form in 2-0 Win
|
Target Field hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
The Minnesota Twins got a magnificent performance from pitcher Christopher Albaugh, who muffled the Boston offense en route to a tight 2-0 Twins win at Target Field. Minnesota has a record of 18-23, placing them last in the Eastern Region Great Lakes Division.
Albaugh tossed 109 pitches over 7 innings to clinch the win for the Twins. The left-hander allowed just 2 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts in the game.
"I still have a lot of confidence in this team," Minnesota manager Connor Sandstrom said afterward.
