Lake Monsters Suffer 4-3 Loss to Hawks
|
Boise third baseman Craig Moriarty was a significant contributor in his team's 4-3 triumph over the Vermont Lake Monsters. He went 3-4 with 3 singles for Boise. Boise reliever Rex Ernst picked up the win, raising his record to 2-3. Thomas Shultz was tagged with the loss. Obi-wan Suzor earned the save for Boise, his 10th of the year.
Karam Lynch helped out the Boise cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 4 with a double.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Moriarty. "But I have better dreams after a win."
With the win, Boise goes to 26-36, while the Lake Monsters fall to 36-26.
