Flying Tigers Go Down to Defeat, 4-2
|
The Rogue Valley Dodgers defeated the Medford Flying Tigers, 4-2, in Northwest League action at Medford Grounds. Rogue Valley pitcher Tyler Sandlin had a standout performance. The winner was Sandlin. He threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Bob Plourde. Rogue Valley has now won 4 straight.
Waylon Boucher, who is tied for 2nd in the NWL in bases on balls with 27, had a direct impact on the outcome. Boucher contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Rogue Valley up, 1-0.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Rogue Valley manager Jason Portnoy.
