The Eugene Emeralds picked up a win at Gesa Stadium, dropping the Tri-City Dust Devils, 6-4. Nadia Guadalupe, who is tied for 9th in the NWL in strikeouts with 71, was the difference-maker. Guadalupe yielded 3 runs over 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-5. The 'W' lifts Eugene's record to 25-29.

Eugene left fielder Luís Sánchez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 36th hit of the season and put the Emeralds ahead, 4-2.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Sánchez told the Eugene Bulletin. "It's as simple as that."
