Red Wings Knock Off Chiefs at Chiefs Stadium
|
The Wenatchee Chiefs got a superb performance from pitcher Wade Gaskell, but the Hamilton Red Wings still won the game, 7-3. Gaskell threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 runs. Picking up the save was LeMarcus Pippen, his 3rd. Hamilton, with the win, sits at 20-42.
Hamilton used the timely hitting of Jackson Coulson to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Red Wings on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Winning is not something we take for granted," Coulson said.
