Chiefs Stick Black Bears with 5-1 Loss
The Wenatchee Chiefs defeated the West Virginia Black Bears, 5-1, in Northwest League action at Chiefs Stadium. Wenatchee pitcher Hunter Stigger had a standout performance. The win makes Wenatchee 38-23.

The Chiefs got a big at-bat from third baseman Bobby Hirsch. For the game, Hirsch went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Wenatchee a 2-1 lead.

Stigger said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
