Flying Tigers Need Extra Innings to Top Cavalry, 6-4
|
Starting pitcher Dan Copeland pitched well enough to help the Medford Flying Tigers beat the New Westminster Cavalry, 6-4. Conroy Van Hise got credit for the save for Medford. It was his 1st of the year. The first-place Flying Tigers have won 4 in a row.
Sandro Montrel, the 23-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Montrel contributed a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put Medford up, 6-4.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Copeland.
