Hawks Upend Indians, 5-2

Boise and Spokane took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Boise registered a win at Avista Stadium by beating the Spokane Indians, 5-2. Pitcher Alex Shahinian was one reason why the Hawks triumphed. Donald Umphenour wrapped it up, recording his 7th save.
Boise left fielder Draco Galvan contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a curveball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 41st hit of the season and put the Hawks ahead, 2-0.
"Alex looked very determined to have a good game," said Boise manager Nick Rodriguez. "He was totally focused and he produced."
The Hawks sit in 6th place in the Northwest League South Division with a record of 23-25.
