Dust Devils Edge Volcanoes, 2-1
|
In a low-scoring contest, Tri-City pitcher Teddy Canales was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. The victory makes Tri-City 11-36.
The Dust Devils got a big at-bat from center fielder J.D. Aviles. For the game, Aviles was 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Tri-City a 1-0 lead.
Aviles said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
