Ironbirds Absorb 7-4 Loss at Bowman Field
State College rode a decent outing from starter Michael Ruffing to victory over the Aberdeen Ironbirds. The final score was 7-4. The winner was State College reliever Lucas Caron, now 3-2. The loser was Zach Barkey. State College is now 41-18, 6 games up in the New York-Penn League South Division.

State College took a 6-3 lead on Carmen Hughes's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Hughes hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Aberdeen pitcher Jamaal Drummond shaking his head.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Hughes told the State College Times. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
