Eugene second baseman Jabari Mills was sensational. He went 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Yakima Valley beat the Emeralds, 7-6. John Naatz snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 3 innings. He's now 2-1 on the season. Yakima Valley, at 28-20, sits in 4th place in the Northwest League North Division.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Hawley Buckley? The Yakima Valley catcher had a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pippins on top, 7-5. For the game, Buckley had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
