Rattlers Lose Late, 7-5
|
Caleb Paquette was instrumental in his team's 7-5 triumph over the Redmond Rattlers. The third baseman went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 for the New Westminster Cavalry. Mitch Knoll got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Nate Parkin earned his 14th save, after closing out the game.
Paquette had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 fastball from Thurston Thompson, he banged a run-scoring double to right-center, giving the Cavalry a 5-4 lead. It was the 8th double of the year for Paquette.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Paquette.
The Cavalry improved their record to 33-15 with the win over Redmond.
