Rattlers Get Dramatic 3-2 Triumph
|
Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers starter David Zelayandia turned in a sterling performance against the Stockton Ports, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. The winner was Cody Michael in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Reilly Matthews took the loss. The Ports, now 4-8, continue their slow start.
Noah Schreder was the walk-off hero for Rancho Cucamonga. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rattlers shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
In postgame remarks, Zelayandia said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
