Bruchanski Wins Best WCRS Pitcher Tuesday, August 1st , 1978 The Pitcher of the Month has been picked and the Western Carolinas League trophy went to Charleston hurler Kenneth Bruchanski for his strong performance in July. During the month, Bruchanski was impressive with a 1.69 ERA and 5 wins and 2 losses. In 64 innings he struck out 27 and gave up 43 hits and 35 walks.
