Padres Murphy and Rainiers Unknown Suspended for Fight Wednesday, June 30th , 1976 Dale Murphy of the Walla Walla Padres and Jim Unknown of the Seattle Rainiers received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 4 and 6 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at Borleske Stadium. This year Murphy has socked 58 hits in 228 at-bats for a .254 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .323 pace and his totals also include 27 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |
