NYPL's #1 Player, Fukumoto of Erie Monday, July 3rd , 1967 It was announced today by the New York-Pennsylvania League that Erie center fielder Yutaka Fukumoto had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. During his week-long batting binge he reeled off a .433 batting average, 13 hits and no home runs. Fukumoto also racked up 3 RBIs and scored 7 runs. This season Fukumoto has no home runs and a .412 batting average. |
