Tigers Lose Rubino for Season Monday, September 13th , 1965 A blow for Frankie Rubino today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4 months with a torn calf muscle. Rubino suffered the injury running the bases. Although officials from the Jamestown Tigers are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Rubino's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. For the year Rubino has hit .262 with 4 home runs, 44 RBIs and scored 38 runs. |
