Red-Hot Rampage Reaps CALL Reward Monday, July 28th , 1980 When Joel Lepel stepped into the batter's box, he meant business. His outstanding play this week has netted the Salinas catcher the well-deserved California League Player of the Week Award. Playing in 5 games he lashed out a .474 average with 9 hits, 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Thus far this year Lepel has hit .244 with 4 home runs and 26 RBIs. |
