Kelly Collects Cycle
Tuesday, July 2nd , 1963
At Petrakis Field today, Pat H Kelly led Clinton to a 7-1 victory over the Dubuque Packers by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's more difficult feats.

"Usually the triple is the hardest one to get, but I was most worried about the homer today because the ball wasn't carrying," Kelly said later. "When I took it deep, I was expecting the ball to die on the warning track, so it was sweet seeing the ump give me the signal to circle the bases."

In addition to going 4-for-5, Kelly chalked up 1 RBI and scored 3 runs in an exceptional performance.

Pat H Kelly flied out in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off James Schamp in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

This season Kelly is hitting .307 with 80 hits, 5 home runs, 53 RBIs, scored 43 runs and played in 77 games.
