Guischer Shuts Out Trois-Rivieres Wednesday, August 17th , 1977 In a seemingly effortless performance, Michael Guischer of the Jersey City Guardians shot down the Trois-Rivieres Aigles 3-0 on a 4-hit shutout. "Michael was just locating so well and using his pitches," Jersey City manager said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Guischer recorded 6 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Trois-Rivieres manager said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him." For the season Guischer has compiled a 10-18 record with a 4.26 ERA. |
