Harvey Nabs TL Weekly Award Monday, July 30th , 2001 Shreveport Captains first baseman Ken Harvey had a great time at the plate last week, running up some sensational numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the Texas League named him Player of the Week. Harvey banged out 11 hits in 23 at-bats on the way to a .478 batting average. He also racked up no home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. To date Harvey has chalked up a .280 average with 8 home runs, driven in 62 runs and scored 49 times. |
