Two good teams met in a late-season showdown.
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 29-year old left fielder Dave Henderson, the Montreal Expos stopped the Pittsburgh Pirates, 10-2. The Expos have now won 4 straight.
Henderson came through for the Expos in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Montreal leading 1-0, the left fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It made the score 2-0, Montreal.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Montreal manager Bryan Gryka.
