Sexson Helps Brewers Defeat Padres, 10-5
The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the San Diego Padres, 10-5, at County Stadium. Leading the charge for Milwaukee was first baseman Richie Sexson. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Brewers improved to a lofty 89-38.

With Milwaukee leading 3-2 in the bottom of the third, Sexson hit a curveball from Pedro Martinez for a 2-run home run. It was his 34th home run of the season and put the Brewers ahead, 5-2.

"I keep finding places to plunk down base hits," said Sexson.
